The complete duqe guide as a PDF, with every screen explained step by step.
Other productivity apps are still just that: apps you have to open, inside an environment designed to steal your attention.
duqe is a launcher: it replaces your phone’s home screen. It’s the first thing you see every time you unlock it, and the place you reach everything else from.
No. Organization systems are deeply personal: hardly anyone follows a set method to the letter. Most people organize themselves in whatever way best fits how they work.
That’s why duqe is designed in layers. It works just as well for jotting down the week’s tasks and events as it does for holding every area and project of your life in one place.
No. duqe runs entirely on your device: the data you add stays on your phone.
Only two things ever leave the device: the check on whether you have an active premium subscription and, only if you allow it, error reports.
Web Sync is a premium feature that lets you use duqe from your computer’s browser, as long as you’re on the same Wi-Fi network as your phone. You’ll see and edit the same tasks, projects, habits, agenda and everything else you have on your phone, but with the comfort of a keyboard and a big screen.
It’s ideal for clearing out your inbox when it’s piled up, for working for long stretches without your phone in front of you, or even for making it your main way of staying organized.
Only on local Wi-Fi. Your phone and computer have to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. It doesn’t work over the internet, on mobile data, or if each device is somewhere different.
This is a deliberate privacy decision: to keep your data from traveling across the internet, we chose to make the connection direct between your devices. No server of ours in the middle.
The first time you open duqe, Android will usually ask whether you want to use it as your home screen. If that prompt doesn’t appear, go to Settings → Apps → Default apps → Home app and select duqe.
On some devices the path may vary slightly depending on your Android version or the manufacturer’s skin.
duqe is fully functional for free. The free plan isn’t a trial and it doesn’t expire: it includes the whole system (databases, projects, records, agenda, habits, Focus mode, weekly review, encryption and backups), with a cap on the number of active items.
Visual customization is free too: accent, background and text colors, interface opacity, and the two included themes (duqe’s dark theme and the Light mode theme). Stats cover a one-month range, and charts a one-week range.
Premium removes those limits and adds:
Encryption, backups, achievements and Device Owner mode are free.
You can subscribe monthly or yearly (cheaper than paying for twelve separate months), or buy a one-time lifetime license. Each plan’s price is shown inside the app, in your local currency.
